Tim Holtz 12 tag of 2013 - July  Again at the last moment.  This month's tag use rock candy, which creates a shattered stain glass effect, which I really like. The background was created rolling on with a brayer.  I used distress paint to add the white, to provide a different texture.

Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 - June  This months challenge was distress makers.  I really liked the effect of using distress - paint, ink pad and stain combination to create the background.  I will have to try this again.  This is the second month I have used the dragonfly stamp.  It is one of my oldest stamps.

I maybe the last one to enter my tag in the Tim Holtz 12 tag of 2013 - May.  This month used rub-ons. Which I was never a fan of  But I like the effect of them as a resist.

The background was created with rubs and distress stains.

It's time again for me to post my entry into Tim Hotlz 12 tags of 2013 - April.  This month I ended up doing two tags.  I used the dragonfly stamp from one of the classic set.  I then did another tag using an old wooden one with the Stampers Anonymous classic butterfly.  The butterfly stamp is very similar to the dragonfly one. I enjoyed using the metallic distress paints.  The distress paints plus distress ink create a great background.

This week at Simon Says Challenge is; color, any color.  I used picked fence distress paints to create a background using the new tape measure stamp.  I then sprayed distress stain, picked raspberry and added some distress ink, Victorian velvet.

Very strict guidelines at Simon Says Stamp challenge this week!  Aprils Fool's, absolutely anything goes.  I have been working on a project for my sister using ATC.  Some of them, I have been making using slightly bigger cards.  I used another one of my favorite quotes. Over at Simon Says Stamp and Show this weeks challenge is all about "Quotable".  I used RuPaul's quote, "Life is about using the whole box of crayons.

I created the background using distress paints.  I found out that I like the effect better when I wet the tag first.  I then embossed  and highlighted the embossed area with white and gold paint.

I made the flowers with the tattered floral die and crinoline painted with acrylic paints.

This month challenge over at Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2013 - March is all about Spring and Easter.  I used crackle paint on the Easter Bunny.  The background is some of Tim Holtz paper stash.  I used some distress paint (picket fence & tattered rose) to give the background a wash effect.  The Easter eggs were made by cutting some packing from ideo-ology embellishments and using alcohol on them.  Hope you enjoy.

Another busy week and I am just getting my Simon Says Stamp & Show entry completed.  This weeks challenge is; Water.  I made the background with a gellie plate.  I then used distrssed ink on the craft sheet, sprayed with some blue ink spray I made.

I used a gelli plate to create the background the added some distress ink.  Then I stamps using Tim Holtz's haberdashery stamp set.  I embossed the top part of the dress form and glued it on.  The embellishments were embossed and I used lace to make the flower with a button center.

This week challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show is 'By the Numbers".   I used a number stencil to create the background.  The Mona Lisa stamp I used also had some numbers in it.  I think that it is about a year since I first posted an entry in this challenge.  My colors always seem brighter than the pic shows.

This weeks challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show is; use the stamp you love, but don't use.  One of my stamps that I love and is also one of my oldest is, Dragonfly, by Stampers Anonymous.   I use distress stains and perfect pearls on the background, along with some stencils.  The dragonfly was embossed.  I added a layer of wings using the clear plastic sheet from a sheet of stamps.  Just a little bit of heat curls it.

Over at Simon Says Stamp and Show the challenge is  Metal -ology.  I have not used metal much.  I tried to make a sign, but it just did not work.  I will have to try that technique again when I have time.  I used the distressed paint on the tattered flowers.  The background was made by embossing the tag.  Then using distress ink and clear embossing powder on the raised letters, to create a resists.

At Simone Say Stamp and Show this challenge is, "What you are known for".  Since I am still learning not sure what that is for me.  So I used the colors I like.  Rusty Hinge and Faded Jeans.  The back stencil was sprayed with an ink I made bending some walnut inks with Mustard Seed and some copper pearls.  I used burlap instead of ribbon.  I stamped the wings on vellum and the coat on sticky back canvas.

The 12 Tags of 2013 Tim Holtz is here, yea!  This month I made two tags. The first one is almost like Tim's  the second one, uses the same techniques just different elements.  My umbrella man, is steam punked.  I use the californiagirl's umbrella man tag as inspiration.  I use foil for his coat, embossed and inked it.  Maybe I can continue the trend and make two each month.

This week at Simon Say's Stamp and Show is lace. I used the dress form and used lace for the skirt.  I stamped, painted and inked and embossed the background.  I used a #10 tag and cut off the bottom.
